    Ist der schööön … Wahnsinn!!!

    Hi Iris,

have you ever been to the states and watched the dogs there??? Visit some of the famous breeders? Did you see them move???

Moxi is a gorgeous bitch excellent example of the breed.
She also won the national when mr. Espen Engh judged the national and was BOS last year when mrs. Anne Rogers was the judge.

    FCI Standard No162

    NECK
    Long, muscular, elegantly arched.

I hope indeed that more breeders will use this kind of dogs because this bitch is superb!!! 😉

Congratualtions to all the winners. This bitch is sound from head to tail and maybe she is a little bigger then the dogs here in europe she is 100% a whippet.
But I also know that in the so called classic bloodlines there are BIG puppies in the litter. But only the breeder will not show them BUT they still are there!!! No if you can’s see the quality of this bitch it’s time to read the standard again.

Espen Engh, American Whippet Club National Specialty Judge 2004 Critique:

From the second I saw her, I knew she would be the one to beat – and in the end, it turned out nobody could.“

„Such an eye-catcher, just teeming with quality. Her neck is absolute perfection both in length, shape, and so smoothly set into her shoulders. Excellent size that would make her next to unbeatable anywhere in the world. Top class head and a true bright and alert expression. Perfect depth of chest and perfectly balanced body with great shape. She had plenty of energy in her movement, never missing a beat when taking the turns with great suppleness, keeping her perfect shape, balance and outline at all times. Totally sound coming and going.“

„After eight hundred whippets… I could still not take my eyes off her, she had the superb type, the outstanding quality, the optimal elegance, the great silhouette both standing and moving – and, on top of that, a never-give-in attitude, bright and alert at all times. It was like the lights were shining on her, always demanding attention. She got plenty of that, plus the BOB [Best in AWC National Whippet Specialty] rosette to boot.“

“Reminded me of some of the outstanding Saxon Shore bitches of the past, and I was not surprised to find later that she is actually linebred to the great Saxon Shore Flashdance.”

I am still not a specialist in whippets but I try heard to gain a better insight into this topic! As I saw this wonderful bitch on StripDuke Weblog I could feel her beauty and elegance although I have never seen her in a show! What an expression and charisma in these lovely eyes! I am very thankful to hear all this commending words and perfect characterisations of this beauty! Thanks a lot for your commends and many congratulations to the owners of this eye catcher!

    best wishes

    Hallo Iris,

    Hi Gerline,

Take a look at this nice interview at the WY website with Bluestreak whippets.

    http://www.whippetly-yours.nl/posts.asp?PostID=1446

They have the more „classic“ look, also very nice whippets with lots of qualities.
I think it’s more then normal there are different types in a breed and as long as they fit the standard I can appreciate all the different types if they have the qualities I am looking for in a whippets.
I think it’s not healthy for a breed to think that only one type of dog is the superior whippet.

    Regards,

    Tony

    Hm. What an interesting conversation.

Have to tell that I like this bitch very much. A real american type of course, and a very elegant one! Everyone has his/her own taste, but I think this bitch is simply and objective excellent. Even she is not the classic european typed whippet.

But there is another, who I like very-very much:

Oh, God, I just love blacks in THAT quality! My big dream is a black whip like him!

  11. Tony Groenendijk - 05.05.2006 at 22:31

That black dog is indeed SUPER!! I would love to own a black with this quality and is really hard to find one! Did you see his mother a beautiful blue:

Oh yes, she is a very nice and elegant one. To be honest blue colour is not my favourite, but have to tell that she is a very nice bitch, excellent type and so on.

I prefer the most such blacks who don’t have any blue colour in their genotype, but this is my own silly taste. 😀
